A video posted on Youtube shows the creepy moment where a white coffin is being buried and the body´s hand can be seen waving through the glass panel.
The video shows a devastated family for their loss while a priest is reading his prayers during the burial service. A Youtube user mentioned that the priest is heard saying in Indonesian: “God has said in the book of John. I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me he will live even though he is dead.”
The camera suddenly zooms in on the coffin where a hand can be seen moving, as if waving or touching the lid behind the coffin glass.
No one seemed to notice at the time and the burial went ahead. The spooky video was filmed in the city of Manado in Indonesia on May 5 and sparked fears the victim may have been buried alive.
Despite the supernatural claims or the idea that the victim could still be alive, there’s also a logical explanation to consider. According to a recent research, a human body is able to move for more than a year after death.
A camera at the Australian Facility for Taphonomic Experimental Research (AFTER) took images of a corpse every 30 minutes during daylight hours. And for the entire duration, the body continued to move around.
The findings of this research project appeared in Forensic Science International: Synergy, and it could be important for forensic investigations in order to get essential information as the time or place of death at a crime scene.
The research was led by Alyson Wilson, who explained in an interview for the Agence France-Presse about their findings, “We think the movements relate to the process of decomposition, as the body mummifies and the ligaments dry out,”
However, that doesn’t mean it’s not creepy at all! Just watch for yourself.
