There are many well-known horror movies available to stream, but to save you sometime finding ones that you probably haven’t seen but are really worth watching. Here is a list of some movies to watch on Hulu.

The Clovehitch Killer (2018)

The movie is set 10 years after a rash of similarly styled murders hit a small Kentucky town. Tyler Burnside is a Boy Scout and the dutiful son of an upstanding, community leader dad. Only one thing troubles again the quiet Kentucky town he lives in: the unsolved murders that with unrelenting tension, director Duncan Skiles crafts a picture-perfect vision of the all-American family-and then piece by piece rips it to shreds.

The Lodge (2019)

The Lodge centers around two children accompany their father and their new stepmom to a remote cabin for Christmas as a “bond trip” but nature and nurture conspire against that intention as an aggressive snowstorm stands in the way, locking the children and stepmom together. It’s one of the best horror movies Hulu has at the moment as discomfort turns to panic, which turns to desperation, which turns to madness.

Goodnight Mommy (2015)

Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz, the writer/director team who made The Lodge, deserves more recognition. This story about two young brothers and their mother is set on a remote farm. As the mother returns from the hospital with bandages on her head, paranoia begins to grow between the brothers that she might be plotting against them.

This Austrian movie didn’t receive a wide U.S. release back in 2015 but Fiala and Franz will definitely plant this movie in your brain.

Southbound (2016)

It tells several interlinking stories set in the foreboding Southwestern desert, and it’s one of the very best out there if we may say. It was directed by Radio Silence, Roxanne Benjamin, David Bruckner and Patrick Horvath. Everything revolves around some travelers who, in the middle of the night and in the middle of a desert road, begin to suffer from exhaustion. The different members of the group will be forced to deal with their worst nightmares and their most hidden secrets.

Oculus (2013)

Oculus stars Karen Gillan as Kaylie, who launches a mission to prove that her whole family’s demise was caused by an antique mirror. In a house full of cameras and timers, the desperate woman and her brother spend one last night documenting the house. Insidious 5 Has Been Confirmed As A Direct Sequel To Insidious 2 With Original Cast Returning

Great news for horror fans as Blumhouse Productions gave the green light to start part five of the Insidious franchise.

The studio also said the new film will star Patrick Wilson, who was featured in the first two installments. Also, for this occasion, he got the position of project director. Wilson made his debut with the franchise back in 2010 in the role of Josh Lambert. He came back in Insidious: Chapter 2 in 2013 and Insidious: The Last Key in 2018.

The actor is an icon of horror cinema as he is also one of the main characters in the The Conjuring.

“I’m honored and thrilled to be at the helm of the next Insidious installment, which will provide an amazing chance to unpack everything the Lamberts went through a decade ago, as well as deal with the consequences of their choices,” Wilson shared in a statement according to ComicBook.

“Directing the movie is both professionally and personally a full-circle moment for me, and I am extremely grateful to be entrusted in continuing to tell this frightening and haunting story” he added.

First debuting in 2010, the Insidious franchise became one of the markers of the “Blumhouse model” of feature filmmaking, low-cost productions aiming for high returns. The project was announced during Blumhouse’s BlumFest, a virtual event covering a number of the studio’s exciting projects.

“One of the primary reasons the interest and appetite from fans has lasted for Insidious is because the people involved in the first film have stayed involved and kept it vital, interesting, and good,” Blumhouse founder Jason Blum shared. “I’m so grateful to our collaborators on the franchise.”

Insidious tells the story of the Lambert family, made up of a married couple and their three children, who move into a huge and beautiful house, where one of their children, Dalton, inexplicably ends up in a coma, which would start a terrible nightmare full of supernatural beings.

For this upcomming project, Scott Teems has written the script which is based on a story by franchise co-creator Leigh Whannell. The sequel will take place 10 years later, when the Lamberts send Dalton (Ty Simpkins) to college.

The project will hit theaters sometime in 2022.

When the soul leaves the body

This photo was taken a couple of hours before this man passed away. As he rested on his hospital bed, strange auras could be seen fluttering around his body. Although there is no clear explanation of what the figure could have been, it seems that it could have been a good spirit considering that this took place in a church.

Don’t take it

This lady took this photo in the basement of her new home. But once she saw it, she had no doubts that the house was in fact haunted. She claimed that two days before she took the picture, she had heard her 4-year-old brother at the basement yelling “No, don’t take it” when he was supposed to be alone. Perhaps what the boy saw was this mysterious figure too.

Seeing the light

In this picture,  there’s also a man on his deathbed and some light above him. Some parapsychologists claim this is the only type of proof they need to solidify theories that explain how auras and bodily energies work after passing away.

Park concluded that 19 percent of men reported a nightmare compared with 30 percent of women.

Women and Men Are More Often Victims Than Aggressors in Their Dreams

This is according to ‘The Dreams of Men and Women: Patterns of Gender Similarity and Difference.’ In an excerpt it says, “both men and women are more often victims than aggressors in the aggressive interactions in their dreams, and they face the same attackers, namely, men who are not known to them (‘male strangers’) and animals.”

Women’s Dreams Are Also More Emotional

According to the same study above, women were much more likely to dream about very emotionally traumatic events like the loss of a loved one.

The girl used to claim that Pupa was alive and could speak. When she grew older, she used to tell her grandchildren that the doll was her best friend. But after she passed away, her family locked Pupa in a glass case.

It seemed she didn’t like that as the family reported that Pupa would tap on the glass as if asking to get out.
