If you ever imagine yourself chasing a white rabbit into a hole that will lead you to a dreamy land, this Alice in Wonderland themed restaurant in Colorado Springs, surely can give you a such unique dining experience.
The Rabbit Hole is a basement style bar in downtown that has been open for eight years now and continues to fill up every weekend, hosting around 400 to 500 people.
It has a subway-style entrance on the sidewalk that’s in the middle of Tejon Street. You will recognize it by the neon-colored ‘The Rabbit Hole’ sign right above the entrance with a set of stairs that takes you down to a gothic space with nooks and crannies that are filled with quirky art and cozy booths.
The bar serves the look of Tim Burton’s movie. From the dining area surrounded with murals of Alice and her friends to both menus which are labeled as ‘Eat Me’ and ‘Drink Me’.
The ‘Eat Me’ menu is stacked with delicious dishes like the Bacon Wrapped Rabbit Meatloaf which is priced at $17 and it also comes with a side of thick mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. You can also find a ‘Nibbles’ section for Duck Wings or vegan options such as the Korean Fried Cauliflower. As for dessert, a Chocolate Bacon with Nuts or an exquisite Carrot Cake.
The most popular drink at the ‘Drink Me’ menu is the White Rabbit Martini. Priced at $12, it is made with vanilla vodka, coconut rum, a dash of cream and topped with a flaming marshmallow. There’s also a wide selection of themed drinks such as the Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts, and the Looking Glass. Also a long list of beers and wines are ready to be served.
